We process payables and donations. We handle funds from fundraising mail campaigns and massive fundraising events. During Covid, no crowd based fundraising events were held. As I consider the scenario today, I am noticing a completely new landscape.
A Pent Up Urge to Participate
People need people. Fundraising events are a special opportunity for people to bond over a common goal, a shared interest, a chance to rub shoulders with family and friends. The past two years without these opportunities has led to a keen interest in putting Covid behind us and a renewed interest in getting outdoors and doing things that are good for you, and, good for others. We are gearing up for a busy year!
The Effect on Resources
If your business was affected, employees may have been trimmed. If not trimmed, employees may be working from home. Either way, less resources in the office may have led you to downsize. During their time away from the office, employees may have re-evaluated their position. If you handle credit cards, your PCI audit is now a major issue.
